Hi, I'm a regular guy in the suburbs trying to figure out my house. The penguin on the homepage is Joe, named after a stuffed animal I had growing up. He gets the byline because he's seen every dumb mistake I've made and hasn't judged me yet.
This site is where I write down smart home experiments, projects around the house, and the occasional "I did not know that breaker existed" story. Every post ends with a "Did it work?" verdict so you don't have to read to the end to find out.
I'm not a professional. I'm not licensed in anything. If something here looks dangerous, it probably is, and you should call a real one.
